The Fairburn Educational Campus is a multi-use development comprised of 52,200 square feet of office, institutional, and retail space located at 326 West Broad Street in historic downtown Fairburn, GA on 4 acres along a key multi-modal transportation corridor just south of Atlanta. As Design Builder and General Contractor, Randolph Williamson was hired by the City of Fairburn and worked with architects, Historical Concepts and Blue Fox Designs to design and construct the base building and interior classrooms, office and retail spaces using structural steel with brick and pre-cast concrete exteriors. This facility is home to both Georgia Military College and Brenau University.
Completed in 2 phases, the infill site was the former location of a farm equipment facility and is a successful example of brownfield re-development at the small town level. Designed and constructed in just nine months, the first phase of the complex was funded by $9 million in municipal bonds. The campus currently houses the administrative offices of the City of Fairburn and serves as the Atlanta campus of Georgia Military College, as well as Brenau University.
