Randolph Williamson and Day Realty of Atlanta, Inc. Announce Co-Development Partnership

Companies to build 61,100-square-foot Crossroad Shoppes at Coal Mountain in Cumming, Georgia

ATLANTA/PEACHTREE CITY (October, 2017) – Randolph Williamson, a full-service commercial real estate company, and Day Realty of Atlanta, Inc. announced that the two companies have entered into a co-development partnership to seek opportunities throughout Georgia.

“We are excited to partner with Day Realty, and believe now is the time to capitalize on new development opportunities, particularly within the retail sector,” said Ron Williamson, founder and chairman of the board of Randolph Williamson. “We have a tremendous footprint in the southern crescent of Metro Atlanta in cities like Peachtree City, and this partnership will allow us to broaden our portfolio geographically while working with a developer we greatly admire and respect.”

The first co-development project for the companies is the 61,100-square-foot Crossroad Shoppes at Coal Mountain, a new retail development at Browns Bridge Road and Georgia 400 in Cumming, Georgia. The property will be constructed in three phases with the first phase, totaling 23,100 square feet, scheduled to begin next spring followed by the 16,000-square-foot Phase II and 22,0000-square-foot Phase III. Crossroad Shoppes at Coal Mountain will also include six outparcels, and a Walmart Supercenter will be located within walking distance of the center. Reid Mason and Leigh Anne McGarry of Franklin Street are leasing the project.

“Working with a full-service company like Randolph Williamson that has a strong reputation of delivering projects on time and under budget and is able to move quickly to make new developments happen is a win-win,” said Parke Day, president of Day Realty. “The Interstate 400 corridor has shown tremendous signs of growth, and we believe the timing is ideal for Crossroad Shoppes at Coal Mountain.”

Day has developed retail and office properties including the Shoppes at Hamilton Mill, Mansell Forest, and Windward Forest. In addition to Crossroad Shoppes at Coal Mountain, the partnership is planning an additional three to four projects together.
