Darrell is a professional land developer with 28 plus years of experience in the Commercial Real Estate, Development, Design and Construction industry. His expertise is in the area of development, design and construction of project types ranging from retail, professional / medical office, industrial, hospitality and mixed-use. Darrell graduated from Samford University and has served in Executive Leadership (Director, VP & SVP) for several large Commercial Real Estate Firms in the Southeastern US.
During his professional career, Darrell has worked on the planning and oversight of over 35 million SF of commercial space valued at over $6 billion. He has worked on projects as small as 7,500 sf and as large as 2 million sf. He has developed sites as small as 2+ acres and worked on Master Plan Developments as large as 16,000 acres across the Southeastern US, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Texas, and California.
His expertise includes managing the process and procedures for development including legal / due diligence, jurisdictional zoning entitlement, pro-forma development, contract negotiations as well as construction oversight, project costing, budget management, scheduling and ensuring the delivery of high quality developments.
Darrell is a member of the ICSC and ULI. He and his wife are involved in their home church, frequently serving as a Community Group Leaders.
